Happy Birthday! 2009
Ok ok... I am actually 22 year old.. ermm and holding :P. So how long have I been 'holding'??! Ha!  Well, just let me share a few things I
saw in my insect room.

Recently I was told by a mantis expert friend that the Rhombodera from Java and Malaysia could be from the same species, so I put
the two (Adult female from [Malaysia] and adult male from [Java]) together. Well if the ootheca turn out to be viable, then that could also
mean they are from the same species, we shall see....
While feeding Creobroter nebulosa, one of the nymph is molting in the cage. This is the most vulnerable moment for a mantis.
One of the adult male violin mantis is ready to get into action with the female!
Well, here is one of the gift I received, a bend-it mantis!! I like it... haha I feel like a kid.
Glad to see one of the mated female Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii decided to deposit an ootheca, hoepfully it is fertile. Only time will tell.
I have a nice steamboat meal for dinner.....yum yum
My birthday cake - tiramisu from La Madeleine
But my best birthday present came this early morning.... yes! the orchid ooth traded from Japan more than a month ago finally hatched.
Finally I have the chance to revisit this species again.
