Bee Removal - Part 4 (Final)
After the bee removal, I am left with hundred of bees. A nice treat for my mantis! I fed the bees to the larger mantis and they appear to
love it!
As predicted, all my mantis that are large enough to handle bees showed no fear to bees. The mantis love it! Especially the Texas
unicorn mantis.
Ghost mantis is not a large species and usually prefer smaller prey. However, they seem to handle honey bees alright. This is the first
time i fed honey bees to my ghost mantis.
All of my large mantis species have no problem handling bees. Such as the giant Taiwan mantis (Hierodula formosana), Malaysian
shield mantis, and orchid mantis.
Although the spiny flower mantis (Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii) and South American dead leaf mantis (Decimiana bolivari) are small,
their aggressive nature towards food allow me to believe that they have no problem handling bees.
Over the past, I have experience that mantis being fed with honey bees live a long and healthy life, with improved fecundity.

Chinese believe that having a bee building a nest around the house is a sign of good luck. I am not superstitious, especially when the
bee removal service cost me $350.  Well, those are some expensive honey and bees I must say, but it was a great experience!
Please note that all the bees captured were performed by a professional. Do not collect bee hive by yourself if you are not
familiar with bee collecting or removing.

Obviously, the violin mantis that is expert in catching flying insect did not miss the opportunity as well.
